Q: What would you say is a lucrative advanced degree to earn right now? I have an AA in Journalism and a BA in Communications. I wanted to go into the law field, but can't seem to get a good enough score on the LSAT. I have strong writing, reading, editing abilities though. I'm terrible at math and science. Any suggestions for a grad school degree that will pan out job security and money wise? TY. I never said I was going to get an advanced degree to become the "richest." Obviously I want a career that is lucrative, who doesn't? I choose my original degrees because I love to write -- unfortunately, they don't pay that well. I want an advanced degree that plays to my strengths (the first things I mentioned in original post) AND pays well. Following your heart doesn't pay the bills, that's the reality. You have to be smart and find ways to combine your talents and choosing a career/field that is sought after. That is what I'm trying to do. I'm weak at math and science because I have a learning disability since 3rd grade. If I could've fixed the problem anymore than I have it would've been at this point. I can't type my life story in the original post I made. That's why it's best to answer the questions that are actually asked. I don't know where you all live but I live in the NYC area. A BA is like a high school diploma around here; most people have one.
A: I live in the NYC/NJ area too. Law, MBA, college professor, book editing, technical writing. All those careers are lucrative and require good writing skills. Good luck.
