Q: I would love to attend a nice university once I'm through with my basics due to the fact that it would look alot better when trying to get a job after I graduate. I decided to go the cheap way and save some money by doing my basics at a junior college in southern Texas. I'm majoring in Business and would LOVE to transfer to a major university up north but neither me nor my parents have the money to afford it. What do I need to do if I want to move up north (preferably the north eastern part of the country) and attend a major university? And also I'm not really into the whole idea of joining the military to pay for my school (I support the troops 100%, it's just not for me).
A: Look into Stafford Loans, they have a fairly low interest rate. Also, check the internet for various scholarships, but NEVER pay to get information. Check into private schools, they often offer very good financial aid, even though their tuition starts out higher, it could be lower in the end. Some schools offer scholarships just for being a transfer student. Good luck!
