You pay nothing for public secondary and primary schools-and kids get three years free lessons in the local language. Some areas even have special classes or schools for foreign kids to learn the language. You pay a lot for bilingual (usually french/english or german/english) schools or international schools. Universities are relatively cheap for people living in Switzerland compared to many other countries. For international students though, I would assume it's the same as any other country and you'd have to pay rather a lot. Look at the individual universities that you're interested in. But even if courses are taught in English, you're required to know the local language too and won't get onto a course if you don't.
